This Week – Them Crooked Vultures, Bon Iver & Peter Gabriel, Passion Pit and More!

In support of indie record stores and the annual occasion, many labels have created special cds, records, box sets, and more for some of their most celebrated artists that will only be available on April 17, 2010 until they sell out.  There are hundreds of these special collectibles, all of which can be found at RecordStoreDay.com .

Joy Division – 4 LP, 180 gram 12” vinyl Box Set (820 available)

Bon Iver and Peter Gabriel – “Come Talk to Me”/“Flume” 7” single; Peter Gabriel and Bon Iver cover each other’s music, Bon Iver track is EXCLUSIVE to this release (2000 available)

Record Store Day, organized by the Music Monitor Network, the Coalition of Independent Music Stores (CIMS), and the Alliance of Independent Music Stores (AIMS) celebrates the culture of independent record stores by playing host to in-store events/performances, signings and special product releases on a global scale. It takes place on Saturday, April 17, 2010.
