KERIMA releases debut single “This Night” today, June 8

KERIMA: “THIS NIGHT

(Phase One; June 8, 2010)

(Stockholm, SE)  Sweden has been impacting the American music scene for decades, and its newest starlet Kerima has something special. “This Night” is already a hit overseas where it has been #2 for over a month on Sweden’s leading social network Snowfish.  In the U.S., “This Night” already has a radio buzz and is quickly spreading across dance radio formats.  SiriusBPM has been spinning “This Night” over 35 times a week, AOL Radio sent “This Night” directly to their Top Dance channel where it is gaining popularity, Party 105.5 added “This Night” to their Club Cuts rotation with 10-14 spins a week, and internet dance radio trendsetter Fusion Radio added “This Night” last week.  Kerima “This Night” was produced by Eric LeTennen (Ace of Base) and is out today, June 8th via Phatplanet / Phase One.

Preview Kerima “This Night”

Kerima has been in the recording studio consistently since age 14.  Her songwriting skills have taken her around the world and allowed her to work with record industry veterans Drew Right (All 4 One, Janet Jackson and many more), Anders Bagge (Celine Dion, J-Lo, Janet Jackson) Phrased Differently (Craig David), Kovas (Shakira, Lady Sovereign, Nick Cannon, Kelis, Papoose) and many others.  She has written more than 60 released songs, which have sold 2 million records to date for artists like Agnes Karlsson, Yvonne Catterfield, Waldos People, Kate Ryan, Shirler Clamp Gold, Paulini, and Clea.

Kerima’s talents also extend from beyond the recording studio. She is an accomplished model, dancer and actress.  Kerima’s face and voice has been used in campaigns for brands like Sony Ericsson, Americas Next Top Model, 7-Eleven, and Cubus.  Sony Ericsson featured Kerima as an artist, a wallpaper theme, and a built in ringtone.  Kerima inspired millions of children when she was chosen to be the Bratz doll character Sasha.  She also wrote and sang lead vocals on four tracks from the Bratz CD’s which are RIAA Certified Gold.
“This Night” was produced by Eric LeTennen who has sold over 8 million records with production and songwriting credits.  Eric LeTennen has worked with international artists such as Dr. Alban and Ace of Base, as well as Scandinavian acts Dromhus, La Cream, and Waldos People.  With the powerful track by Eric LeTennen, and the ear catching vocals of Kerima, “This Night” looks to be the most successful Swedish import since Ace of Base.
