NeuNovHailing from sunny South Florida, Victory Records’ Neurotic November is getting set to release their debut studio album, Annunaki. The aggressively musical quintet recently premiered the lyric video to one of Annunaki‘s tracks, “Nonchalant” on Substream Music Press.

Nonchalant | Lyric Video

Of the video and forthcoming album vocalist Dee Dee (Dirty) comments, “We wanted everything about Anunnaki to be 10 times better than our EP. The fast parts are faster, the instrumentals are beefier, and we definitely upped the ante. We can’t wait to deliver this live.”

Comprised of vocalist Dirty, bassist Bear, Yoshii and Nig on guitar, and Paiste on drums, the members of Neurotic November come from all walks of life and value free-thinking and open-mindedness above all else. Their backflips, unparalleled conviction, and obvious passion work together to create an unforgettable live experience, and their professionalism breeds spotless musicianship.

Ready to take the metal scene by storm, Neurotic November have completed and are ready to release their debut studio album, Anunnaki on October 29th, 2013. Dirty says “The word ‘Anunnaki’ is from ancient Sumerian mythology and it loosely means ‘came from the stars’. There is no better way to explain our sound than to tell you that it is out of this world. We are aliens and revel in what makes us different.”

Officially beginning their journey in 2009, Neurotic November began humbly with Dirty (vocals) posting an ad inquiring about a bassist for his band that had immense potential. Almost immediately his search was fulfilled with the addition of Bear, female bassist who quickly trademarked her aggressive playing style and tough-guy attitude. These two musicians with a dream suffered through multiple line-up changes in order to successfully release their EP Passive May in 2012, which showcased the never-ending energy and exhilarating song structures that began their steady climb towards the top of the metal scene.

TV ‘stache: Cakes are so Metal

In case you missed it, check out this clip over at Metal Injection.

Brooklyn metal band HULL to be featured In TLC’s Cake Boss: The Next Great Baker, Airing Monday 1/16.

Guitarist/vocalist N. Palmirotto explains how the heck this happened: “We received this email from a production manager from the TV show, The Next Great Baker, a Cake Boss spin off, asking us if we would like to perform on the show. It was during the time that the Big Four were in town, and Megadeth were originally asked to perform for Mauro’s birthday — Mauro Castano is the Cake Boss’ right-hand man and brother-in-law — as he was always a big metalhead back in the day, but Megadeth couldn’t do it for whatever reason. HULL was mentioned at a board meeting, and low and behold, they contacted us. We showed up in Hoboken on a rainy afternoon to a huge production. They had us set up and perform on top of two box trucks while the contestants displayed their best attempts at metal-themed birthday cakes. It was truly a one of a kind experience, and we are very much looking forward to Episode 8, Headbanging Bakers, on January 16th.”
