video ‘stache: FLOATING ACTION’s New Video Premieres as Fake Blood Comes Out
To celebrate the release of their fifth studio album, Fake Blood, Floating Action premiere the video for “Not What I Came For” and offer a free track download.
Floating Action is Seth Kauffman, a red bearded Blue Ridge mountain-biking brother who has made five records on which he writes, records and plays all the instruments himself. Floating Action’s fifth, most soothing offering, Fake Blood, released Tuesday, September 4th and championed by none other than Jim James of My Morning Jacket via his label, Removador Recordings & Solutions (as a co-release with Harvest Recordings in Asheville, NC).
The band released the video for “Not What I Came For”, the fourth track from Fake Blood, to the public on Tuesday along with a free download of the song at Removador.com.
You can download “Not What I Came For” here, and watch the official video for the track below.
When asked about the significance of both English and French subtitles in the video, Seth Kauffman explains, “the words to that song are REALLY good, and I don’t want them to go overlooked. So [subtitles are] one obvious way to do that.. and the French part, maybe I’d been watching weird old French Francoise Hardy TV performances, so the idea was to make it like you stumbled across this on a French public access channel in 1981.”
Floating Action has previously toured with Band of Horses, Dr. Dog, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Delta Spirit and has announced select dates this Fall, see below for the latest routing (more to be announced soon).
