audio ‘stache: Big B Strikes Gold With New Album
Big B’s latest album Fools Gold features collaborations with The Dirty Heads, Slightly Stoopid, P!NK, Butch Walker, and many more.
July 9th marks the release date for Fool’s Gold, the latest album by Las Vegas-based singer/rapper Big B. Released on Suburban Noize Records, the album features appearances from Dirty Heads, Slightly Stoopid, and many others. It is currently streaming on MSN.com and on last.fm.
For Fool’s Gold, Big B‘s sixth studio album, he is upping the ante by delivering his most heartfelt album yet.
“I put a lot of heart and soul into this record and the last few years have been pretty hard on me for various reasons,” he says. “This record was my way of getting it all out and turning it all into a positive thing. I just wanted to make good songs that people can have a good time listening to. “
Fool’s Gold features musical collaborations with members of legendary punk outfits NOFX and Pennywise, as well as a songwriting collaboration with Grammy winner Pink on the single “Here Comes the Lightning.” The end result is a collection of songs that are just as contagious as Big B‘s thuggish charm. With the entire music industry focused on finding the next huge star on reality television, Big B has taken a back-to-basics approach on “Fool’s Gold” and filled it with fun spirited songs that can fit into any music lover’s playlist. The album is rich is musical diversity and is cleverly inventive, as Big B seamlessly bridges the gap between rock, hip-hop, and alternative.
Big B is currently on the road as part of the Cabin By the Sea tour with Dirty Heads and The Expendables. From there, he will embark on Redlight King’s “Ones to Watch” tour, which will run through August. Tour dates can be found below.
